SOCKtober

Good socks are important to basic health, and they are also the most requested item for children in our annual Holiday Helper program. That's why we're turning the month of October into SOCKtober this year. Throughout the month we'll be collecting new, in-package socks for local children. All types, styles, and sizes (infant through adult) are needed.

The socks will be distributed to the 300+ local children in our Holiday Helper program, and the extra adult socks will be donated to Home Sweet Home Ministries.

You can drop of new, in-package socks at the Center during our regular business hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Center is located across the street from Watterson Dining, on the corner across from the CVS in Uptown Normal.

Sock donations are welcome anytime during the month of November to continue addressing the needs of our Holiday Helper program

Want to get involved but aren't able to drop off socks in person? You can buy some socks from our Amazon Wish List and have them mailed directly to our office!

Most popular sock requests include:

  • Men's athletic socks
  • Women's athletic socks
  • Boy's size medium socks
  • Thick warm socks (for winter)
