Other Campus Opportunities

Partnerships with Illinois State can exist in many ways and with many different departments and individuals. In addition to the work of the Center, the following departments and units have been identified for the specific and unique ways in which they can partner and support community organizations.

  • Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development

    The Stevenson Center administers an interdisciplinary graduate sequence for students seeking careers in public service. The Stevenson Center can match graduate fellows to work individually within organizations; connect these students with organizations for research and/or class projects; assist with data collection, management, and analysis; and provide grant writing training.

  • Career Services

    Career Services provides students and alumni with career services and resources. Career Services can assist community organizations with acquiring interns, student workers, or full-time employees.

  • Volunteer Program Assessment

    The Department of Psychology hosts the Volunteer Program Assessment (VPA). VPA is a cutting-edge, innovative, and completely free volunteer assessment system designed to promote nonprofit organization effectiveness.

  • Innovation Consulting Community

    The Innovation Consulting Community creates learning experiences for students by working on projects for nonprofit and for profit organizations. Students from diverse disciplines team up and use a creative mindset to propose solutions to complex problems and innovation in strategy.

  • Graphic Design, Design Streak

    The School of Art is able to support the community through its graphic design program Design Streak. This is a pre-professional graphic design studio providing creative services to businesses, nonprofit organizations, and institutions in Central Illinois. Upper level graphic design students are also available to serve as interns.

  • Milner Library

    Milner Library offers a number of services to the community, including help with research, borrowing privileges, access to microform, and the use of technology in the library.
