Redbird Impact Philanthropy Leaders
The Redbird Impact Philanthropy Leader (RIPL) initiative is a collaborative effort between the Center for Civic Engagement and the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation. This opportunity is designed to engage undergraduate students in meaningful, hands-on learning about philanthropy and its impact on the community.
Students selected to participate in RIPL meet monthly to:
- Consider the meaning and purpose of civic engagement and philanthropy
- Explore the grant application process
- Review proposals from community organizations
- Decide which applicants receive funding
This initiative provides students with a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, collaborate with community partners, and make tangible funding decisions that support local change.
Applications for RIPL are currently closed and reopen mid-late fall semester annually.
